WHO WE ARE

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and advancing Japanese-language education across a wide region. As a network of educators, programs, and institutions, Northeast Council of Teachers of Japanese works to strengthen communication, collaboration, and professional growth among those engaged in Japanese-language teaching and learning.

We connect K–16 schools, community-based and heritage language programs, and educators through shared resources, events, and regional initiatives. Our centralized digital platform increases access to information, raises visibility for Japanese-language education, and supports collaboration across educational levels.

By building sustainable, user-friendly systems, we aim to foster a connected and thriving community that continues to support Japanese-language education now and into the future.
